Fresh News!NetPA IP distributed audio system control software now supports several languages

Due to international market requests, NetPA IP distributed audio system control software has gone through profound changes. At the moment of writing, v1.28 is available, relying on language file for graphic user interface support in several different languages.

The good news do not stop there, as a matter of fact... In addition to the basic system supporting several languages, the user may pick his/her panel language. Being so, it is perfectly possible for an English-speaking operator to work on a system installed in France which basic language is French. All system logs will still be in French, but all panels will be in English for operator convenience.

We recall that the NetPA software implements, together with the Barix coding and decoding modules a distributed crosspoint switcher, which may be of quite considerable proportions, either in terms of the number of involved physical devices, or in terms of geographical spread. In fact any input or output module may be placed everywhere where IP is available, using the very same network already used for ordinary data exchange.

Fresh News!Acutron creates a new audio streaming receiver aimed for store networks

phonetika

As Acutron has always listened to marked needs, this time was no exception. Store networks need to stream audio content to their shops in real time, this including both background music and advertising. Supporting all their needs involves being able to receive any kind of compressed audio format, such as mp3, m4a, wma, and all kinds of play-lists, such as shoutcast, icecast, asx, as well as the ability to syncronize the contents being played in the network at a certain time during the day. To cope with the described tasks, Acutron created the Phonetika-T streaming terminal.

Based on the proven Barix Exstreamer 100 hardware, the product enables a whole shop network to receive up to 8 different audio programs with USB flash backup just in case the internet connection is interrupted, and where playlist updates are syncronized by a central time server, enabling the start/stop of streams to be automated, thus conserving bandwidth in out-of-business hours.

Interactive software for device programming is browser-based, and the device supports an infra-red multi-function remote control.
