48X48 + 32X32 crosspoint based on the SW16M for Portuguese National Radio RDP
Acutron developed a multi-crosspoint system for Portuguese National Radio RDP, Faro and Coimbra Regional control centres. Based in the SW16M crosspoint building block and using Windows™ NT4.0 software, the system is composed of a Central dispatch, grouping other than the crosspoints one of the newest-generation digital audio AES3 ACUTRON DigiRoute8 crosspoint, the CS16 monitoring crosspoint, DA-28 signal distributors, SHAPER parametric equalizers and MARKER ID generators. Several studios communicate with the Central dispatch by means of software using the Sockets over TCP/IP protocol, alowing the operators to access parts of the whole crosspoint assignable from the main dispatch. All switching is reflected in real time through all of the network using the same protocol.

Acutron supplies innovative IP audio content streaming system to the Lanidor group.
Responding to the Lanidor group challenge of providing a streaming system for both background music and other assorted types of audio information, Acutron developed the Phonetika-T terminal, which, together with the proprietary Lanidor central streaming servers implements an audio network comprising over 160 stores located in Portugal and abroad. More information about the system may be obtained both in our news section and when you click on the image above. Quite flexible in supporting different audio formats, protocols and play-lists, the system adapts itself to the requirements of any store network needs, allowing for centralized control of the whole network.
Acutron supplies audio public information and entertainment systems using IP, featuring integration with the nurse call system supplied by Redislogar/Ascom, to the HPA in Faro and Hospital Internacional do Algarve in Albufeira Private Hospitals.
The aim was to provide decentralized systems that could coexist with an installed IP network used for other purposes. For example an operator can take his/her microphone when changing location, and simply plugging it in the next IP socket. Any extension of a central SIP dispatch (e.g. Asterisk) can send messages to the system. All equipment is monitored remotely via a browser. Acutron further developed an interface (shown in photo above) called PSA2, which allows the patient through the same bed pear used to call the nurse or turn on the light, to control sound speakers built into the furniture and also shared with the nurse call system or headphones, the TV, and access a large number of channels available from both the NetPA central server system or from outside. The system makes extensive use of Barix modules (represented by Acutron in Portugal) with firmware modules as well developed by Acutron. A single control does it all, avoiding patient fatigue.
Acutron supplies audio lynx surveillance system for the National Iberian Lynx breeding Centre
Always ready for off-the-track customer needs, Acutron developed a system that captures sound from the differen enclosures at the National Iberian Lynx breeding Centre. Different sounds are carried over IP to a control center, where they are analyzed. System provides programmed alarms to the central operator if sound pressure level in some zone is over a programmed threshold. The operator may access any of the enclosures using the NetPA software graphical user interface. In site the Centre uses surveillance cameras, the Lynx is known for having an almost-perfect camouflage, which makes them difficult to spot. Acutron's system is in fact the more adequate for first-line surveillance in order to detect stressed animals.

A new 26-zone IP-base sound system for Colombo shopping mall in Lisbon
Acutron developed a new IP distributed public address systen, in which any source, any operator microphone or any zone to be covered may be at any physical distance from the virtual central, even many miles away. Based on hardware from both Acutron and our represented company Barix and featuring Acutron-developed software, the system uses any installed Ethernet network, not needing any dedicated network or fiber inftastructure. It is capable of total or partial compliance with EN60849 (emergency evacuation sound systems) or BS5839-8 (practices for sound-alarm systems), depending on the level of the equipment used in the setup. We recall that compliance to these standards is not a pure equipment compliance, a piece of equipment is not "compatible", the system itself may be considered compatible, and it is a combination of equipment, installation (namely cabling) and the way the system was designed and implemented in terms of available capabilities. The system is adaptable to any number of zones and is ideal for shopping malls, congress centers, railway ststions, airports and other installations where a public information system in which at any time operators and zones can be added without cabling inerventions is needed. It is now possible, by means of the Acutron® NetPA© software, for multiple operators to control the system from several different locations, as well as for those to become aware of the hardware used for message diffusion. The system is implemented as a prioritized structure built on security levels and its central software runs on a robust Unix/Linux server. Its terminals rely on browsers, so there is no need to do multiple software upgrades each time the system is changed, and the terminals may run on any platform and operating system, even on a cell phone. The system server has the built-in capability to deliver multiple background music program contents, avoiding the usial CD players

Acutron supplies a Public Information System to the Portuguese Northern Line
Acutron delivered the audio part of the Public Information System aimed to the two sections Entroncamento-Albergaria and Albergaria-Alfarelos. Those are two automated diffusion systems which on the basis of either the timetables or real train placement information are capable of informing the passenger in an intelligent way of arrivals, departures and other relevant events. The system is also equiped with refinements such as automated digital measurement and correction of the diffused signal loudness according to the background noise and is totally based on audio over IP.
Acutron supplies a Digital Public Information System for the New Delhi Metro/Rail System in India
Based on its innovative concept, easy implementation and integration with other systems, the DMRC authority has decided that Acutron will be the supplier of the audio part of Public Information System that will be installed at the New Delhi Metro/Rail system. Digital Public Information System for the Metro do Porto in Portugal based on the new Acutron XCHANGER.NET IP codec
Acutron delivered the two phases of a system totally based on the XCHANGER.NET IP codec concept to the Metro do Porto light railway system. This digital Public Information System allows sending acoustic messages from a Central dispatch either manual or automatically to more than 60 stations by means of XCHANGER.NET codecs operating over a TCP/IP network. The local diffusion is ensured by SLICE 1151 amplifiers operating Penton CAD10T sound projectors and RCS4/5T embedded speakers. Local addressing is accomplished using either MIC-2 terminals or ZONE-8 posts if there is more than one zone locally. Each station may be addressed individually, or in groups. It is also possible to address each platform within the station.
Automated message diffusion system for the Bursa Metro in Turkey based on the XCHANGER codec
Acutron developed a digital Public Information System which alows the address of audio messages over great distances by means of the use of XCHANGER codecs operating over a digital V.36 interface telecom network. The system uses SLICE amplifiers for the diffusion, which state is constantly monitored by the Central. The stations may be addressed individually or in groups. It is also possible to separately address each platform over any station.
Audio signal conditioning supply to the last 20th Century World Exhibition, EXPO'98 in Lisbon, Portugal
Acutron won an International tender to supply all audio distribution equipment at the Expo98. This supply, aimed at Expo'98 16 stages was intended to distribute the audio signals coming from the stages through the sound reinforcement equipment. It consisted mainly on a newly-designed DI824 and DO1616 input and output automated distribution boxes, which were at work when Expo started, meaning they were designed and built in record time. Acutron was also awarded a contract for the supply of the complete cabling for those stages. The equipments addressed very tight noise specifications and were remotely-programmable and supervisable
through EIA-485 ports. DI824 is a combined variable gain pre-amplifier/stage box and the DO1616 is aimed to the distribution, control and metering of output signals. More information
